Benifest is a non-profit organization and concert series founded by Drexel University graduate and Villanova University Law School student, Mason Payonk. Benifest sets out to educate people about needy causes that may normally be overlooked by bringing people together through music.
Benifest 3 will benefit a new foundation called Jenna's Blessing Bag, which created a program to solicit donations used to purchase, assemble and distribute backpacks filled with living necessities to those affected by homelessness. The foundation began following the murder of Jenna Burleigh, a Temple University student and a childhood friend of one of the staff members here with Benifest. Jenna had a loving and giving heart and avidly helped the homeless and others in need.
Benifest believes that music is one of life's greatest assets and should be used to promote and shed light on the welfare of those in need. Each Benifest has one goal: to enjoy the music, enjoy the evening and enjoy each other, all while bringing awareness to a worthy cause.
